Breakroom Entertainment is seeking actors for its upcoming production of “BOB: A Life in Five Acts”
BOB: A LIFE IN FIVE ACTS

BOB is a fast-paced, cinematic comedy that follows the life and adventures of Bob - a man certain of his destiny for greatness, as he struggles to find his purpose. A chorus of four actors collectively play over one hundred characters as they hilariously tell the story of BOB - born and abandoned in the bathroom of a White Castle restaurant - as he energetically embarks on an epic journey across America in a wild exploration of the pursuit of happiness, and discovering what it means to be truly “great."
BOB: A Life in Five Acts is presented by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc.

PRODUCTION INFORMATION
Performance dates November 21-24 at The Italian Club in Ybor City, Tampa.
Rehearsals begin in Tampa on September 15, 2024.

AVAILABLE ROLES
BOB (Male presenting, any age)
Our lead, whom we follow from infant to old age. If handsome, unconventionally so. If not handsome, his personality adds something charismatic. Energetic, optimistic, open, active. American, of any/many cultural backgrounds.
THE CHORUS (2 men, 2 women, any age)
Ideally of diverse cultural backgrounds. American. The chorus will play themselves, as well as every character in the play aside from Bob. Dispassionate but eloquent. The characters they assume are vivid, bright, sharp, and distinct.
All roles paid a flat per-performance rate, plus a rehearsal stipend.
At this time, we do not provide transportation or housing.

AUDITION INFORMATION
Auditions will take place on Sunday, September 8 at 7pm
in the Fellowship Hall of Temple Terrace Presbyterian Church
(420 Bullard Parkway, Temple Terrace FL 33617)
Please prepare the following:
- A 30-second comedic monologue of your choice.
- A talent of some sort. Do you sing? Dance? Juggle? Do impressions? Doodle? What sort of cool/strange/bizarre/weird talent do you have?
- You will also be asked to read from the script.
Callbacks (if necessary) will take place Monday, September 9 at 7pm.
